人有鱼池，苦群鷧窃啄食之，乃束草为人：披蓑、戴笠、持竿，植之池中以慑之。群鷧初回翔不敢即下，已渐审视，下啄。久之，时飞止笠上，恬不为惊。人有见者，窃去刍人，自披蓑、戴笠，而立池中，鷧仍下啄，飞止如故。人随手执其足，鷧不能脱。 （《权子·假人》）

译文：（从前）有个人有（个）养鱼池，苦于一群鹭鸶（总是）偷偷啄食鱼，就绑草做了个（假）人，披蓑衣戴斗笠
