《YOUTH》

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind, it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees. It is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions, it is the freshness of the deep spring of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exits in a man of 60, more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows merely by the number of years, we grow old by deserting our ideas.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what's next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from infinite, so long as you are young.

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with the snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you've grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there's hope you may die young at 80.

Slow Dance Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight? Or gazed at the sun fading into the night? You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.Time is short, the music won't last.Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask "How are you?", do you hear the reply? When the day is done, do you lie in your bedwith the next hundred chores running through your head? You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.Time is short, the music won't last. When you run so fast to get somewhere, you miss half the fun of getting there. When you worry and hurry through your day,It is like an unopened gift。

. thrown away。Life is not a race. Do take it slower.Hear the music before the song is over。

Crazy English Reader" Deadline suddenly, i have to confront the deadline of love, so unpreditable ,totally unstoppable. it feels like a car-wreck, and a run-away driver。

her words"i will be right back"beating in my heart, but still she is gone. when exactiy is "right back"? how do you define the time,a second, a hour, day, week, month,a year。 how long is "right back"? for eons animals have tread a slow path, following the natural steps, their spirits intertwined with the body. now,man\'s transportation is too fast. the body moves but the soul is left behind. we try to free ourselves in convenience but we only imprison the soul. shorten the time\',shorten the deadline\', but the time saved can\'t be stored. in the end the only thing apparent is our loneliness. the lights of the city cloud the stars above. while our ancestors looked up to the stars in wonder they now lie unreachable to our gaze in the mountains or by the seaside you can still see。

.. i saw a shooting star there once i thought to make a wish. but found tears in my eyes. i keep thinking about you i keep thinking about you. assuming you would appear if i miss you hard enough but no.no the only thing that returned is my memory of you. i know it\'s time to leave this box, but i can\'t find the courage to make the jump.

Poems on Time

by Tagore

The butterfly counts not months but moments,

and has time enough.

~

Time is a wealth of change,

but the clock in its parody makes it mere change and no wealth.

~

Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time

like dew on the tip of a leaf.

ing strong wills.

Now is the time for doing good deeds.

Now is the time to fall on our knees.

Let us use our time wisely, it's precious indeed.

Moments are swiftly fleeing, and to you I plead

Let us all work together and make our Lord proud.

We are one nation under God, proclaim it long and loud!
